Spring 2015 in the Cataloochee area of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, North Carolina. This section of the park is know for the herds of Elk that have been reintroduced to the park and can be seen in the big fields on most mornings and evenings. There are also several very nice hiking trails that begin around Cataloochee. I had a fun, peaceful time photographing the Elk, mountains, and scenes I found while hiking. More photos to come as I finish processing them, so check back again soon! For more information about the area, see http://www.nps.gov/grsm/planyourvisit/cataloochee.htm
